Job Purpose: As the Technical Training Project Engineer, your mission is to achieve Technical Mastery in the Aston Martin dealer network with an obsessive fixed-right, first time, every time mindset. You will be responsible for developing and delivering training courses, primarily from our bespoke Technical Training Facility located at St Athan. The role also includes global travel to deliver training abroad and support our regions with new courses and new model launches. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Global Technical Training Curriculum for Aston Martin dealership technicians. Set Aston Martin’s Technical Training Strategy for new vehicle launches. Collaborate with engineering to understand new technologies and product content, develop and deliver new model launch training. Technical Training delivery for dealership technicians in the UK, Europe and Middle East regions, with a supporting role delivering training in China, Asia Pacific and the Americas. Define and set the 12 month training calendar using our Dealership Training Academy, through the Kalidas platform. Work with Aftersales Business Managers to ensure excellent attendance levels. Manage our bespoke technical training facility, classrooms, workshop and fleet of Aston Martin vehicles located at St Athan.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Expert knowledge of vehicle technical architecture Expert understanding of servicing and maintenance procedures Vehicle mechanical and electrical diagnostics Strong interpersonal skills and excellent presentation skills Able to take a creative and engaging approach to training courses in both delivery and development Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint user. Sufficiently IT literate to produce training materials. Practical experience using workshop tools Picoscope Previous experience delivering technical training Electric Vehicle experience Additional languages an advantage Extensive knowledge of AML’s products Driving License Accredited training or teaching qualifications such as Degree or Diploma. Engineering Degree IMI (Institute of the Motor Industry) Electric Vehicle training
