Our client, a Nursery School in Burnley with approximately 180 children on roll is looking to appoint a teacher to join their fantastic team in September 2024. This position is within one of the classes for 3 and 4 year olds, teaching a morning or afternoon class, with additional teaching responsibilities across school for the remainder of each day. The school will consider part-time working and would be discussed at interview. ECT’s, RQT’s and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

Successful applicants will have:

  • Relevant training and experience of successful teaching and learning within EYFS
  • A passion for early years’ education
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and child development
  • The ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences which excite and motivate children to reach their full potential
  • A commitment to inclusive education
  • The ability to nurture and support the social and emotional well-being of all children
  • Energy, commitment, enthusiasm and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to work as part of a team within the whole school community

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Degree 

     

Desirable Qualifications

  • Paediatric First Aid

Essential Experience

  • Demonstrate effective teaching and positive impact on children in EYFS
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the  EYFS Statutory Framework, good early years principles, practice and curriculum provision to meet the wide needs of children
  • Ability to deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences which excite and motivate children to reach their full potential and meets the needs of all children

     

Desirable Experience

  • Working knowledge of some appropriate strategies to support children's communication such as Makaton or Signalong, PECS, Wellcomm and objects of reference
  • Experience of leading a curriculum area
