Position: Mixed Tax Senior/Manager

Salary: Up to 50k

Reports to: Tax Partner

Team: Tax Juniors and audit department

37.5 hrs per week Monday - Friday

Our client is a medium-sized accountancy firm located in Barnet, North London. They are currently seeking a talented individual to join their dynamic Tax Department with lots of career progression available. In this position your workload will be 60% personal tax and 40% corporate tax. You must have previous personal tax experience.

As a Tax Senior, you'll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, companies, and their directors. Your role will involve providing exceptional client service, handling compliance tasks for personal and corporate clients, and assisting with tax planning projects. This company also deals with high-net-worth individuals.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Undertake compliance tasks for personal and corporate clients, including preparing tax returns and forms.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and training to junior staff.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing learning and development.
  • Assist with tax planning projects, such as capital gains tax and trust issues.
  • Collaborate with partners on technical assignments for clients.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for tax and VAT enquiries.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and experience in client interaction.
  • Good technical understanding and familiarity with relevant legislation.
  • Preferably, experience with Iris tax products.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mixed tax role.
  • ATT (or equivalent) qualification is essential.
  • Salary: Competitive market rates commensurate with qualifications and experience.
