Manual Machinist

Full-time, Permanent

Opportunity

A well-established and market leading precision engineering business of over 50 years based in the heart of Suffolk, with solid reputation for recognising, valuing, and rewarding its employees based on individual contributions and results, are on the lookout for a skilled Manual Machinist (Mills, Lathes, Grinders) to join their team of other highly engineers.

This is a great opportunity for a talented Manual Machinist with experience working with manual machinery such a Milling machine, turning machine and Grinders, looking to take their career to the next step, with a business that can offer genuine routes for progression and development into a head of department position.

Duties

  • Undertake the repair & modification of tools.
  • Read and understand technical drawings.
  • Use of manual machines, such as Mill, Lathes & grinders.
  • Use of manual spark eroders.
  • Undertake the wiring of hot runner systems.

Skill/Experience:

  • Proven & demonstrable track record in similar role.
  • Experience working in an ISO environment.
  • Experience in injection mould toolmaking desirable.
  • Experience operating manual machinery, such as Mills, Lathes & Grinders.
  • Experience using manual spark eroders.
  • Familiar with wiring hot runner systems ideal, but not essential.

Hours:

Monday - Friday / 8am - 4.30pm

Salary/Package:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
