Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their Lathe Area Department, crucial in their production. With the companies growth trajectory, this role offers opportunities for career advancement within our dynamic company.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Maintain 16 Multispindle Lathe Machines and associated equipment in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
- Diagnose and rectify faults with machinery and equipment.
- Conduct necessary machine and equipment maintenance, including mechanical part replacement.
- Utilise maintenance software for task management and updates.
- Collaborate with Service Engineers during visits.
- Ensure spare part availability for uninterrupted production.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Provide maintenance support across various business areas as needed.
- Experience with workshop machinery and equipment.
- Proficiency in Production Machinery, particularly Lathe Machines, with 5-10 years in a maintenance role within a production environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for component replacement.
- Self-disciplined, motivated, and adaptable to individual and team-based work.
- Willingness to work outside regular hours and support other business areas.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across all personnel levels.
