Lecturer in IT & Digital

Salary: £29,820 - £36,749 per annum (Pro rated for part time)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sheffield

Hours: 37 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

The Sheffield College is a further and higher education institution dedicated to providing academic, vocational, and professional qualifications to approximately 13,000 young people and adults annually. We have an exciting opportunity to join our Academy of Professional Industries as a lecturer in IT and Digital Skills. Working as an integral part of the IT teaching team, this is a fantastic time to join an Ofsted rated 'Good’ college.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of new T Levels qualifications in IT and Digital Skills.
  • Align the curriculum with employer needs and industry standards.
  • Deliver engaging IT and Digital courses to adult learners.
  • Foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
  • Inspire and support students to achieve their full potential.

Skills & Knowledge

Levelling up premium payment for FE teachers

Did you know that Computing is included in the governments levelling up premium initiative? Eligible teachers could be entitled to a payment of up to £6,000. You must be in the first 5 years of your FE teaching career to claim. This means it must be 5 years or less since you started your first role with teaching responsibilities at an FE provider.
