The Role:

During an exciting period of growth for UCB, including the development of world-class facilities, and a new Sixth Form Centre, UCB Library is for the first time creating a library role dedicated to supporting our students, engaged in Further Education, Sixth Form, and other courses at Qualification Levels 1, 2 and 3.

As the Further Education and Sixth Form Centre Librarian, you will provide interesting and engaging in-class Research and Referencing support for students. In addition, you will provide 1:1 Research and Referencing support in one of UCB's Academic Skills Centres, Libraries or Thinkspaces.
You will liaise directly with academics to help support their students, working with them to select and order appropriate books, ebooks and other related library learning resources. You will also play a key role in ensuring that our Libraries and Thinkspaces are attractive and welcoming and are conducive to study.

You will have experience of supporting learners in research within a library or related setting, a high level of written and oral communication skills, the ability to communicate effectively with students as individuals or within group settings, and a passion for libraries and learning.
