Financial Controller

Butler Rose is pleased to be exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for a fantastic business in Exeter.

This role reports into the Finance Director and will take responsibility for leading a friendly and capable finance team.

Key duties will include:

• Develop and implement financial strategies in line with company growth objectives
• Lead, develop and build your team to deliver and achieve the company's objectives, working closely with other areas of the business.
• Oversee and support all aspects of finance within the business, including cash flow, audit, monthly management accounts for annual budget setting, re-forecasting processes and overall management of the P&L budget.
• Provide commentary and insight on the monthly management accounts to the Directors
• Support the Finance Director with ad hoc projects as required
• Balance sheet control and account reconciliations
• Maintain and oversee accounting software
• Ensure adherence with statutory and regulatory procedures

The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (ACCA,ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with a sound knowledge of financial performance reporting and financial / budgeting processes. You will be a collaborative worker who enjoys leading a team and taking ownership.
