A rapidly growing, manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their team. This position has arisen due to promotion and is a fantastic opportunity for an ACA qualified accountant. Due to the scope and opportunity within the role; our client will consider either a first time mover from practice or someone making their second industry move for this Financial Accountant position. 

The Role
The Financial Accountant's duties will include:
  • Performance of the procedures required for the month end (6 working days)
  • Core accounting procedures and journal processing
  • Balance sheet reconciliations 
  • VAT Return preparations and co-ordination with the external corporation tax team 
  • Principal contact for the external audit
  • Reviewing business performance and drive for continuous improvement
  • Preparation and review of rebates 
  • Assisting the financial controller with necessary projects and report preparation 

The Person
The requirements for the Financial Accountant role are:
  • Qualified ACA
  • Straight from practice or a second time mover 
  • Ability to work to tight deadline
  •  A team player who has the ability to work with staff at different levels
  • Curious and ambitious approach 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate clearly and confidently at a senior level
  • Excellent excel proficiency and ability to analyse large volumes of data
