Electronic Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer required. Bennett and Game are currently working with a marine company who are looking to expand their Field Service team. This company specialises in Electronic equipment on board vessels, including radars, satellites, and GPS navigation systems and data recorders. The ideal candidate will be qualified in Electronics and have experience in a field based role. The candidate must have a full driving license, passport and be based within a commutable distance of Aberdeen.

Electronic Service Engineer Position Overview

• The repair and maintenance of different electronic marine equipment.
• Perform surveys and inspections on customer's vessels.
• To be able to carry out VDR annual performance tests.
• Support the Lead Engineer in service and installation of on board electronics.
• Based in Aberdeen, but this role will include occasional travel around the UK and overseas.
• Experience working on GPS, X&S band radars, VHF & MF/HF radio communications, satellite and voyage data recorders

Electronic Service Engineer Position Requirements

• HNC or HND in Electronics
• Experience on Marine Electronics desirable, however other electronic servicing backgrounds within communications or surveying considered
• Full Driving License
• Passport
• Working at height desirable
• Weekend and out of hours work will be required on an ad-hoc basis

Electronic Service Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £26,000 - £40,000 Marine electronic experience will attract the higher end of the salary
• Company van, work wear, mobile phone and laptop provided
• Working hours - 7:30am - 4:00pm
• Overtime available
• Pension scheme
• Discretionary bonus scheme
• 33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
