Development Manager

Hays is working with a leading aviation client to recruit a Development Manager for their Glasgow operation. The role will also involve travel to sites in other parts of the country.

Your new role

You will be leading a team to extend, enhance and transform airport infrastructure and facilities at scale, creating a market-leading experience for their customers. Drive significant improvements in customer experience, enhance their commercial income stream whilst providing increased capacity that paves the way for future airport growth.
The Development Manager is a key interface between capital planning, projects' delivery team, and the wider business, providing expertise in developing business cases in conjunction with the client for complex projects.

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate has a demonstrated track record of delivering projects in excess of £10million. Ideally in aviation, highways, rail or nuclear sectors. This role forms part of their Senior Management team.
You will have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to think strategically, communicate with key stakeholders and influence effectively those involved in your work.
You will be experienced in managing teams of ten people or more, have excellent verbal and written skills and a track record of using your initiative when working independently.
