Due to the partnership between Hays and Birmingham City Council, we are looking for 3 Community Safety Intervention Officers to join the Community Safety Team. Your new role
As a Community Safety Officer, you will undertake the full range of community safety duties which may vary according to the size and profile of the area, including but not limited to, street patrols, visits, attending partnership meetings, working with communities and building relationships with partners. Using prevention, early intervention education and enforcement approaches and work in accordance with BCCs policy and related procedures and in compliance with all relevant legislation, e.g. - Crime & Disorder Act, ASB (Anti-Social Behaviour) Act, regulatory codes, guidance and professional practice. To undertake investigations, build evidence packs, complete reports, and as necessary, attend court. Will play a proactive role in the provision of a multi-agency problem-solving service around victim, offender and location. You will be assigned, as part of a flexible and responsive service, to designated service areas, projects or issues according to the needs and priorities of the business. This is a full-time position and is based fully on site in Birmingham City Centre.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing this role, you will need to demonstrate good communication and good people skills, be able to carry out investigations, build reports, be organised and have strong attention to detail. As patrols will be part of this role, you must also be OK with walking long distances. This role will be an ASAP start, which before starting you will need to pass your reference, compliance and DBS checks, upon registration please have your 2 most recent employment details available for reference checks.
