CNC Miller
Adept Resourcing are delighted to be working with one of Sheffield's largest reputable Manufacturer who are looking to recruit a CNC Miller to join their shop floor team.
Reporting directly to the machine shop manager your main role will be to operate manual and CNC milling machines within a large heavy engineering environment.
Permanent, 37.5 hours per week on a 3-shift pattern
SHIFTS
Mornings: 06:00-13:20
Afternoons: 13:00-20:20
Nights: 20:00-06:20
SALARY £17.00ph - £19.00ph
Responsibilities:
- Perform all general machining tasks, including milling, turning, and boring
- Setting up machines according to best practise.
- Work accurately to customer requirements.
- Able to read engineering drawings.
- Inspect and check machined components using measuring equipment
- Maintaining good housekeeping of work areas
- Maximise efficient use of machinery.
- Safe use of machinery and all tolerances and customer instructions are adhered to.
- Working without supervision, ensuring production of quality machined parts.
- Appropriate preparation on commencement of machining.
- Follow and complete quality documentation in accordance with the company's quality procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace Health & Safety requirements.
- Operate and program CNC machine tools.
- Work with complex engineering drawings.
Requirements:
- Experienced in using both manual and CNC milling machines.
- Ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of modern-day tooling.
- Crane driving and slinging.
- Full understanding of Health & Safety and the ability to work safely in a heavy engineering environment.
- Experience of following and filling out quality documentation.
- Ability to understand and follow CNC programs.
