Role of the Bespoke Package manager

Once any support package is in place, our bespoke package manager(s) will be responsible for:

·Providing managerial oversight of the child’s package to ensure that the child is provided with high quality trauma informed day-to day support that meets the child’s day to day needs, promotes their safety and wellbeing and protects them from harm in line with the child’s care plan. This would include providing clear direction to the support staff when the child is in crisis.

·Attending care team meetings and ensuring all relevant information is cascaded to support teams.

·Observing settings and work with staff to make improvements.

·Ensuring that properties in which children and young people reside are comfortable, homely, and clean and a safe place to live.

·Reporting any damage to any professionals necessary

·Working flexibly, meeting/supporting staff out of hours and weekends also (on call)

·Ensuring all agreed paperwork is in place and shared with all staff members supporting the child.

·Auditing paperwork regularly to ensure recording are appropriate and accurate and supporting staff in completion of these. This will include financial records pocket money, weekly cash flow etc. Secure storage for all documents/meds etc for all properties are the responsibility of the package manager.

·Being a central point of contact for Social Workers in relation to the day-to say management of all packages and correcting any operational concerns, issues, and areas of improvement.

·Addressing any concerns/issues in relation to the care of the child raised by the child, social worker, and wider care team professionals.

·Assisting the support staff in fostering good relations with neighbours and the broader community

·Ensuring the health and safety of all provisions is considered and the necessary requirements are in place.

·Ensuring all staff schedule to support with any package understand the child’s care plan, associated risk assessments and any specific restrictions linked to the child. Also, all staff have all key contact details for each child or young person.

·Recruiting suitably qualified and experienced support staff following a thorough interview and selection process

·Oversight of staffing rotas and ensure consistency where possible.

·Ensuring all staff are offered regular supervisions and debriefing sessions to promote reflective practice and their own health and wellbeing.

·Enabling the staff allocated to access any additional training that emerges during the life course of the package in response to any emerging needs associated with the child.

Full time

Monday - Friday

9am-5pm
