Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Type: Permanent, Part time

Location: Derby, Office based

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 full-time equivalent (depending on experience)

Hours: 20 - 25 hours, fully flexible

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join this well established and secure business based in Derby. The role is 20 - 25 hours per week, and the client is totally flexible on how you do these hours, either full days, part days, school hours or a mix.

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your main duties as an Accounts Assistant will include:

  • Processing the purchase ledger
  • Dealing with GRN’s and P/O’s
  • Coding all invoices for sales and purchase ledger
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Supply statement reconciliation’s
  • Raising and sending out invoices
  • Allocation of payments
  • Cash Book
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Assisting with month end and year end work

This is a varied position, lovely open plan offices, onsite parking, friendly and supportive team. Office hours are open 8:30am - 5:00pm with 30 minutes for lunch but there is flexibility on these start and finish times, if someone wants to start earlier or later.

Working in a small team, this role is Monday to Friday and offering 25 days holiday plus bank holidays. The client offers flexibility on when these part time hours are done to fit in with you.

This is a fully office-based position.
