Overview
Hypnobirthing is a technique that uses the idea of self-hypnosis to help women during childbirth. The method reduces awareness of anxiety, fear and pain during the birthing process and promotes mental and spiritual wellbeing. While specific programmes may differ from each other, this form of therapy uses, words, music, sound and visualisation techniques to keep women relaxed and comfortable. The technique addresses the fear of the birthing process and the anticipation of pain, which is usually the biggest stress for pregnant women. You can use hypnosis with other forms of therapy or on its own. We strongly recommend that you review each module carefully before proceeding to the next one.
